HEC increases capital and expands production in Shaoguan

On September 9, HEC Ruyuan Base held the completion of the construction project of lithium iron phosphate with an annual output of 20,000 tons and the start of the expansion project with an annual output of 50,000 tons. Chen Shaorong, Secretary of the Shaoguan Municipal Party Committee, attended the event and announced the start of the project, Zhang Yushuai, Chairman of HEC Group, relevant city and county departments, and directors and supervisors of HEC Group attended the event.
The new energy materials sector of HEC focuses on the development of lithium iron phosphate and other cathode materials for lithium batteries, and has deployed magnetic materials for supporting new energy vehicles. The completed construction project of HEC Ruyuan Base with an annual output of 20,000 tons of lithium iron phosphate and the start of the expansion project of lithium iron phosphate cathode material with an annual output of 50,000 tons cover an area of about 200 mu, with a planned total investment of about 2 billion yuan. The lithium iron phosphate cathode material produced by the project is mainly used in pure electric vehicle batteries, plug-in hybrid vehicle batteries, start-stop starter vehicle batteries, energy storage batteries and other fields.
Zhang Hongwei, Director and Rotating Chairman of HEC Group, said in his speech that HEC insists on serving the country with industry, and insists on doing the cause that the country supports and the people need. Zou Zhenyu, member of the Standing Committee of the Shaoguan Municipal Party Committee and executive vice mayor, said that in 1998, HEC Group invested in the construction of the HEC Ruyuan Base in Shaoguan, with a total investment of more than 15 billion yuan. It has three major industrial groups: electronic materials, pharmaceutical chemicals, and health preservation. In 2021, the industrial output value of Ruyuan HEC including tax is 15.6 billion yuan, and the tax payment is 360 million yuan, which has made a significant contribution to the economic development of Shaoguan.
